About Me ✨
Hi, I’m Beth Stensvold — a children’s book author and illustrator who loves turning small wonders into big stories.
I write silly, giggly picture books like What Do Worms Do in Winter?, Hunting the MAYBEE, and Hippos Are Fun! — each one filled with humor, imagination, and a touch of wonder. My goal is simple: to bring more smiles to storytime, whether it’s in a classroom, a library, or on the couch at home.
📚 My Journey
I’ve always loved noticing the little details of the world — bees buzzing in the garden, worms wiggling through the soil, snowmen waiting for noses. Those tiny moments inspired me to start writing stories that spark curiosity and laughter in young readers.
When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me gardening in Sheboygan, Wisconsin (and watching for hummingbirds!), experimenting in the kitchen, or playing with colors and shapes in digital collages that become my illustrations.
